We're all aware by now the Phil Spector is bat shit crazy…

But, once upon a time  he was just a nice guy trying to make gold records with some of the greatest artists of our time. Just kidding he's always been nuts but he did make one hell of a Christmas record back in 1963. If you haven't heard "A Christmas Gift for You from Phillies Records then you've been missing out. Darlene Love, The Ronettes and The Crystals and Bob B. Soxx & the Blue Jeans are all on there belting out Christmas standards. In 2003 Rolling Stone magazine listed it as number 142 on the 500 greatest albums of all time list.  Lack of snow, annoying holiday crowds… maybe this can get you in the Christmas spirit.

Fun fact: John Lennon retained Spector for the 1971 Christmas single "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)".

Somehow while hydrating my skin and balancing my complexion it helped kick my $200+ La Mer habit! So viva Korres for creating such a rad moisturizer that's affordable at $32. 

Disposable Cameras

OI've been taking photos for a very long time; high school dark rooms to event coverage with really expensive cameras, but at the end of the day nothing compares to a good ol' disposable camera shot. Because practically no one buys them anymore, disposable cameras are super cheap (hit up Walmart; a pack of 2 for $10), and development is even cheaper. Remember having actual physical photo albums? I miss that shit! So I'm building a few of them at the moment, so that I may forever cherish my ever-so-precious memories.

My Bangs!

It's about that time; I've missed my bangs for a while now, and being one half of Bangs & Blush without my beloved bangs just ain't the same! Once again, and I'm sure I've mentioned this before both on this blog as well as my other blog, Shirk Magazine, I love to frequent the Saloon Salon (Ossington & Harbord) for all my hair cutting needs; especially from miss Kat Marcus who's my all-time favorite hair dresser. They were voted in this year's Best Of Toronto poll for Now Magazine as Toronto's favorite salon! Go!
